Be it the round table of King Arthur, the "Déjeuner sur l'Erbe" by Manet, "The Last Supper" by Leonardo: countless art elements and symbols depict the purpose of communion between people over a nice meal and great drinks while they debate, philosophize, argue and ramble enjoyably, maybe even hatch plans for the salvation of this world - or at least the next step to it - and maybe forgetting all about it the next day. What never misses is the shared time and space filled with friendship and great food.

The Tavolata ("great table") has been a tradition at ours for years. At our table sits whoever is around in that moment. Not welcome are phones, laptops and tablets. A rich aperitif for our guests? A dinner for passing wanderers? A spontaneous encounter between travellers and locals? Sure! The Kitchen: all over the place or dedicated to the regional taste, on common agreement somewhere between mediterranean and far east cuisine. We are happy to provide vegetarian and vegan options as well. 

For events and group meals we ask for an expenses contribution.
